At marker C19 in Big Creek canyon there is a
rock face where the slugs seem to congregate (2-12-02)
These slugs are mating near the lower edge of
the rock (2-12-02)
Many other slugs were on the rock face, mostly
inactive. There are also deep cracks in the rock which could
provide shelter and safety during summer dormancy. 2-12-02
