Summer Camps

Local Music Programs for 2010:

Orchestra in the Schools and Youth Music Monterey are offering their Summer Music Program for string, brass and woodwind students grades 1-13, 2 weeks of music classes with different programs each week - July 12 - 16 and July 19 - 23. The 2010 program will be held at All Saints Day School (8060 Carmel Valley Road – 4.3 miles from Hwy 1). Download the flyer here.

The curriculum will focus on playing enjoyable music while improving technique and playing in an ensemble. Class placement will be determined by the Music Directors. In addition to instrument instruction, we offer a class in Ear Training & Theory, which focuses on music theory, singing, musical games, rhythm, etc. These classes offer a full day option for those students attending the beginning and intermediate level classes. Participants need to supply their own instruments and lunches (for those attending full day classes).
