An accomplished Practitioner of Kung Fu San Soo does not depend on the color of belt he wears for Protection. His accomplishments are within himself; the color of his belt will not change his ability to use his body and mind. But whatever rank You hold, be Proud of it. Self-improvement in the Art of San Soo. not belt advancement, should be the students' main goal. Remember that the strong tree that stops growing withers and dies.
The following information is given to enlighten you as to how long You must train and what You must know to advance in this studio.
You enroll as a white belt.
From the time You enroll it takes the average Person who continues training and progressing a MINIMUM of 3 months to qualify for yellow belt.
From Yellow belt to green belt takes the average student another 3 months MINIMUM time, or 6 - 8 months total.
From green belt to brown belt requires 12 months MINIMUM time for the average student who keeps up with techniques and forms, or a total of 1.5 Years.
Black belt can be achieved after a minimum of 12 months of brown belt (2.5 - 3 years overall), Providing the student Passes his various requirements.
