Areas of Research and Development:

Selected Projects:

Naval ship topside design for minimum weapons effect vulnerability

Diagnosis of round dispersion exhibited by a 30mm "Vulcan" cannon, a gatling-type chain gun, with a maximum firing rate of 4500 shots per minute.

Finite element structural dynamic analysis and design. Identification of random airloads on empennage control surfaces using a combination of measured flight data and finite element structural transfer functions.

Full-scale suspended airframe vibration test and sensitivity-based updating of a finite element model.

Design and analysis of one and two-layer isolation for the fire control computer. Both gun-fire shock (transient) and over-the-road random vibration were analyzed.
