Residential Program
Nestled in the neighborhoods of Pacific Grove, Gateway Center operates three residential facilities. Our largest facility, which is currently "home" to 49 residents, is located at 850 Congress Avenue. Fully staffed, 24 hours a day, Gateway's Residential Program emphasizes increasing independence and consumer choice in all areas of daily living with a special emphasis on community participation. Residents enjoy an active social calendar which includes volunteer activities, shopping, dining out, movies, camping, local festivals, and regular vacation excursions.
Our second home houses 6 residents, overlooks the Monterey Bay, and exhibits the environment of a family lifestyle setting. Active community participation along with increased independence in daily living skills is the focus of the home.
Our third facility is a residential care facility for the developmentally disabled elderly and is currently home to 4 residents. The developmentally disabled elderly require a significant amount of health maintenance to ensure the highest quality of life during their "golden years." While active community is a priority, this fully staffed home focuses on optimum health maintenance.

Supported Living Services has been recently added to the Gateway Residential Services program. Supported Living offers consumers a unique opportunity to reside in an apartment or home of their choice while still receiving all of the necessary support services from staff to meet their identified needs and accomplish goals and desires.
