Summary of April Session Meeting
Clerk of Session, Pro Tem,
Kaz Matsuyama
Rev. Ben Newcomer, retired, will be replacing Rev. Chris Williams as moderator of Session beginning in May.
Deacons’ Report – Marilyn Uwate

The Gloria Ishida Takarabe Deacons’ Fund will continue with the same objectives.

Yoshie Okazaki is the Nichigo contact for the Deacons.
- For the transportation needs of members, a sign up sheet will be posted seeking people who can drive members
to doctors’ appointments or to church.
Spiritual Growth Branch – Lynn Gunter

The Branch will continue to arrange Sunday pulpit supply and worship leaders.

Continue Bible study and Prayer groups

Remind members of their scheduled responsibilities for Sunday Worship Service.
Outreach Branch – Kazuko Matsuyama
-
For mission giving awareness, the Branch will be having local mission speakers, minutes for mission during Joys and Concerns
and articles in the Echoes.
Admin – Don Chin

Maintenance work in the Church continues.

Motion to allow Gluten Free Support Group to use the Church facilities for meetings, once a month. MSC

Leadership and Elder/Deacon training.
Don Chin gave the monthly financial report.
LUNCH BUNCH
Monthly Lunch Bunch second Thursday of the month 11 AM to 1 PM.
MOTHERS DAY - MAY 10th
The Spiritual Growth branch will have a very special service in celebration of Mothers Day.
We will praise God by rejoicing and singing the favorite hymns of our mothers. Part of the
program will be reading their names as well as sharing a few sentences of rembrance.
Pianist Ruthie Morse will be collecting and coordinating the program. Fill out the forms
available at the church to provide information for the event.

Please contact Chris Hasegawa for e-mail prayer requests for people who are in need of our prayers.
Remember to turn in the Mothers Day Hymn sheet by May 3rd for the Mothers Day service May 10th.
