Supplementing SL-1, by Pat in NC I've been working on it for about 2 months. Unlike you I have not looked at all the books on the list. I got them either from trustworthy catalogs (Elijah, Greenleaf, and Rainbow Resource) or the Story of The World activity guide which has extensive literature recommendations. I've choosen mostly on what I think my son might be interested in. Most are chapter books and not necessarily for the short of attention span as he is a very good listener. There are a few nonfiction books mixed in. My son will be 6 in September, but he handles older themes well. The number at the end is the SL1 week I expect this book might go with. I won't be able to read all of these books there are too many and I know we will want to read some of the read alouds sequels. I don't mark the books SL carries and I believe there are a few.
