Although most of the covers in this series show the title as, "The Story of ...", such as The Story of Christopher Columbus, I found that there were inconsistencies in the catalog listings. Some included the words, "The Story of," but others did not. Therefore I would suggest that when you search for these books, you try both ways.

If two authors are listed with a book, it means that the title was rewritten or updated many years after the original title was published.

Note that this list was compiled in June 2000. The "Not Yet Published" notations were as of that date. They may have been published since then. Many of the other titles are out of print, but you will often find many of them in libraries, especially those with older collections.
