SOCIETY
IDEAS ON SOCIETY
by
Wayne Ellis Hartman Jr
These ideas came from an outline that was created in January
1995. What can I say. I was compelled by spirit to express.
There was no specific forethought or planning for the briefing.
It came through essentially as stream of consciousness in about a
3-4 hour unbroken period of time.
BASIC PRINCIPLES OF SOCIETY
FOR SOCIETY TO WORK, THE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY MUST HAVE A COMMON
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THEM.
- Each is entitled to what that individual needs:
physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.
- In return, each is responsible to serve society to the
best of that individual's talents and abilities.
SOME MAY CALL THIS COMMUNISM. SUCH, INDEED IT IS, FOR A SOCIETY
IS NONE OTHER THAN A COMMUNITY.
- Perhaps that is the key. Throughout the world we have
societies in the midst of turmoil.
- What they lack is the common unity that lies at the
root of the word community.
- Note that nothing about community require living in
communes.
SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONS MUST SERVE SOCIETY OR THEY SHOULD BE
ABOLISHED OR TRANSFORMED.
- Government is one of the key social organizations.
- Institutionalized religion is a major social
organization.
- Companies are major social organizations that are
often overlooked.
- All three of these are currently doing a very poor
job.
SOCIETY HAS A RIGHT TO DEMAND THAT SERVICES BE PROVIDED FAIRLY,
EQUITABLY, AND EFFECTIVELY.
- The present economy clearly does not live up to this.
- Government bureaucracy is notorious for its ineptness.
DISTRIBUTION OF GOODS AND SERVICES IS A SOCIETAL DECISION NOT AN
ECONOMIC ONE.
- Free enterprise usurps the societal responsibility for
this, allowing the captains of industry to set the fate of many.
- There is more than enough for all if only we collectively
agree to make it so.
THERE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH WORK TO KEEP ALL EMPLOYED.
- Here too, it's only a matter of deciding that we will
not waste the resources, skills, and talents of any individual.
- An economic system that keeps unemployment at 4-8% imposes a
high burden on government welfare programs and on private
charities and results in higher crime rates as well. The
sad part is why -- simply to foster competition in wages (to keep
them low).
POWER IN SOCIETY
MEN HAVE BEEN FIGHTING OVER THIS FOR 1000s OF YEARS.
- Yet, the power of the Empress is far more subtle than
that of the Emperor.
FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS, POWER HAS BEEN PRIMARILY THE PRIVILEGE OF
THOSE WITH GREAT WEALTH.
- The Carnegies, Mellons, Rothschilds, Vanderbilts, Fords,
Morgans, and Rockefellers are cases in point.
- Modern day examples might be Bill Gates, Ross Perot, Tony
Robbins, and a host of others -- many presently at the heads
of large corporations, or in important posts or elected offices
in government.
AS THE PISCEAN AGE DRAWS TO A CLOSE, THE EMPEROR TYPE OF POWER
WILL NO LONGER HAVE RELEVANCE.
- Power will come from who you are spiritually and what
you know.
THE AQUARIAN AGE WILL BRING A RENEWED FOCUS ON INTUITIVE SKILLS.
- Power comes not from us, but flows through us from a source
far greater than us.
- In addition, Wisdom is linked with power in a way that has
not been known for over 2,000 years since the golden ages of
Egypt and Greece and the nature/ goddess cultures of Europe.
THE CURRENT POWER STRUCTURE MUST FALL.
- The seeds for its destruction lie in its very nature.
- The economic giants control everything in the current
system.
- This will change when people become aware of how
enslaved they are.
- It does not provide the key service of making society better.
- The very essence of power wants to be of service. At
one extreme, it serves individual greed; at the other, it
selflessly serves society.
- The nature of current problems makes it obvious that
greed is king.
THE HIEROPHANT IS THE RIGHT LEADER IN THE NEW AGE
- That individual most qualified to lead the nation is the one
who should be given the job.
- Is concerned solely about creating an infrastructure
that serves society.
- Cannot be bought by special interests. Bows to a higher
authority than man's.
- Has an ability to understand the big picture and solve
problems at that level.
- There is only one individual that came with the mission of
leading the United States into the Age of Aquarius.
- The spiritual awareness of the individual will be
obvious.
- The spiritual destiny of the United States will be made
known.
EMERSON SAID:
- Great men are they who see that spiritual is stronger than
any material force, that thoughts rule the world.
IN GOD WE TRUST
SUCH SIMPLE WORDS, YET WE HAVE ALLOWED OUR SOCIETY AND ITS
INSTITUTIONS TO SWAY SO FAR AWAY FROM THEM.
- Without a spiritual foundation, a moral basis, society cannot
exist.
- Everyone received this foundation during the early
decades of this country.
- Today, many people don't receive any moral or spiritual
training.
- There is a major difference between freedom of religion and
separation of church and state.
- The first says that one is free to practice any
religion, provided of course that no laws are broken in such
practice.
- The second say that the church shall not interfere in
the activities of the state and vice-versa. However, groups such
as the Moral Majority stretch this.
THERE IS A HUMILITY THAT COMES FROM PLACING OUR TRUST IN GOD.
THERE IS ALSO A SENSE OF THE NEED FOR MORALITY OR HUMANENESS FROM
ONE INDIVIDUAL TO ANOTHER.
IT'S INTERESTING THAT WE PUT THIS ON ALL OF OUR MONEY.
- In Caesar's time, such was not the case.
- Jesus example of looking at the face of Caesar on the
coin and saying to render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto
God what is God's would be much more difficult when looking at a
$1 bill.
- Does this mean that our money, our economic system, has
a spiritual component to it that didn't exist in Caesar's time?
- Why is this on our money, especially given the righteousness
with which we tend to separate church and state?
- Clearly, atheists and agnostics must have a rough time
with this.
- The majority opinion, however, probably would not allow
such a change.
- Yet, our mints don't get mass approval for their
designs.
- In whose God and why?
- There is only one God, though it be called by many
names.
- We trust because we know that spirit guides our destiny,
not only as individuals, but as a country as well.
E PLURIBUS UNUM
FROM MANY, ONE.
- Common unity is the way that the ONE is expressed.
- Unfortunately, individualism gets in the way.
- We are a people that take pride in rugged individualism.
- It's an integral and important part of our heritage.
- It's also an integral part of many of our present
problems.
- Sacrificing the individual for the group is not the answer.
- First, it simply would not work. Too many people would
fight it and rightly so.
- Second, much of our greatness comes from our individual
creativity. This is something we cannot afford to lose at any
cost.
- The solution requires creating an infrastructure and
environment that fosters individuals to be all they can be while
creating goods and services that are of the greatest value to
society.
- Dual focus is the key. What's good for the society is
placing each individual where that individual wants to be and can
be most productive.
THIS REQUIRES GETTING PEOPLE TO THINK IN TERMS THAT EXTEND BEYOND
THEMSELVES, THEIR FRIENDS, AND THEIR FAMILIES.
- For the United States, ONE is all 250 million or so of us
spread across 50 states an a couple territories.
- We might start by thinking of each state as One and then
combining the 50 Ones to get the ONE. However, the state
boundaries put somewhat arbitrary restrictions on the nature of
the problems faced, and subsequently the solutions needed from
state to state.
- If we're all ONE, we're entitled to the same things,
not necessarily in the physical sense -- but overall.
- food, clothing, shelter, education, work, health care,
transportation, and recreation.
- Every individual must have these basic things, not just those
who can "afford them".
- We can't allow advertisers to use "mind control" techniques
that cause us to consume things that are bad for us or that we
don't really need.
SOCIETY ENGINEERING
INFRASTRUCTURE CONSIDERATIONS
- Government continues to have legislative, executive, and
judicial branches to handle foreign affairs + services not
provided by the economic sector such as defense and some
educational services.
- Economic sector employs people to produce goods and services.
Within society this sector must provide for 100% employment.
- Self-policing agency within this sector ensures that
things are done efficiently and that they don't cause undue
detrimental effect to the environment.
- Self-policing agency within this sector should also
ensure that products and services are created in appropriate
quantities to meet needs + whatever export requirements there
are. The media and advertising must not put undue pressure on
individuals to consume.
- Spiritual sector provides basic moral and spiritual
training. May be denominational or non-denomination, but is
mandatory. Further, all such training will as a minimum cover a
basic core curriculum that provides the moral foundation for
society. The core curriculum is to be defined by the Hierophant.
GOVERNMENT INFRASTRUCTURE CONSIDERATIONS
- Government should be driven by an overall spiritual VISION.
- Spiritual Lead should establish this VISION.
- Key members from each branch should form planning team
to determine how best to carry out the VISION.
- Legislative branch should pass required laws.
- Executive branch should carry out required
implementation.
- A Constitutional Convention should be called to Re-Constitute
the Government.
- The best and brightest thinkers from across the land
should attend.
- Current members of the government should be excluded
since they have too much exposure to PACs. They could serve as
advisors to the representatives from their states, but should not
be allowed to speak before the convention.
- The goal for the convention is to generate a new
Constitution that can carry the United States well into the new
millennium.
- A secondary goal for the convention is to identify the
Spiritual Lead or the Hierophant that is to guide the country
into its destiny in the New Age.
THE VISION
- Peace, Harmony, Cooperation, Understanding, Sympathy,
Equality
- Helpfulness, Kindness, Joy, Trust, Safety, Abundance,
Prosperity
- Fulfillment, Happiness, Challenge, Opportunity, Growth
- Maximum Productivity, Virtually Unlimited Supply of Goods and
Services that Truly Meet People's Needs
- Society, not individuals, owns all the production and all of
the natural resources of the country.
- Individuals provided with what they need to "be all that they
can be", including all necessary education or training throughout
their life, and the appropriate environment for employing their
skills/talents to serve society.
OF COURSE, THIS VISION IS NOT REALITY IN THE US
TODAY.
- Crime is a major problem that is antithetical to the
characteristics expressed in the VISION.
- Education is in a very sad state of affairs, which seems to
be getting worse and worse though more and more money is
expended.
- Society expresses no responsibility to assist them in being
all that they can be, and further to find and appropriate
position where their skills/talents can be used to benefit
society.
- People across the board are not as productive on average as
they could be. This is especially true in middle management and
in bureaucratic positions but applies in other areas as well.
- The Economy does not ensure that each individual gets a job
that is sufficient to meet that individuals needs. In fact,
between 1 out of 12 and 1 out of 16 people on average who want
jobs can't get them.
SO, WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
- Realize that societal problems are not "government" problems
under the current Constitution.
- The government is empowered to perform specific
functions that are for the most part "for the common good".
- There is no contract between the government and its
citizenry, other than that individuals obey the laws of the land;
and that the government cannot take away certain guaranteed
rights.
- What's missing is a contract or obligation between and among
the members of the society. The basic terms were stated earlier:
From each in accord with their abilities, to each in
accord with their needs (physical, emotional, intellectual,
spiritual).
- Are we willing to trust one another to abide by such a
contract? Are we ready to take such a major step forward in the
history of the race?
- After all. the USSR attempted such a step and failed
miserably. What makes us sure that we could do any better?
- We have several things going for us that the USSR
lacked.
- We know how to produce goods and services competitively,
and have the infrastructure in place to produce all the goods we
need. The USSR never had this since they had to divert so much
of their resources to defense.
- We were founded with a spiritual destiny that is
prominently displayed on the back of our Great Seal. This, the
USSR never had. In fact, the communists essentially eliminated
all religion in the country.
- Our understanding of equality is far more enlightened,
realizing that it applies to the soul and to opportunity, not to
talents and abilities.
- We are in a position to be able to provide the
environment necessary to allow the social contract to be
fulfilled. The USSR was never able to do this.
ONE OF THE FIRST KEY STEP IS THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SOCIAL
CONTRACT WITHIN THE UNITED STATES.
- This will not be easy, but without one, the US may indeed
perish.
- Our spiritual destiny must be fulfilled.
- This is indeed a key step toward that fulfillment.
There is no other choice.
NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM
NEW ORDER OF THE AGES.
- This is a major part of the back of the Great Seal of the US.
- Pretty audacious, isn't it? Yet, whoever wrote that was
clearly guided by spirit.
- Well, the time has arrived. We're now at the brink of a new
age. The dawn is rapidly approaching.
- Looking around, however, it does not appear that we are
ready to assume a leadership role in this area.
- The Republican Contract with/for America doesn't begin
to address the true reform required to build an infrastructure
that provides a sound basis for the future.
- Neither do the Democrats offer any viable alternatives.
- Perhaps it's time to say "a pox on both your houses",
and start fresh with a set of people free from the influence of
special interests.
- Society is a system. Let's start thinking about it as such.
- Within that context, society's problems are system
problems caused either by poor system design, or poor system
operation. Both can be fixed!
UNTIL NOW, THE DESTINY OF THE US HAS REMAINED VEILED.
- If anyone presently in government knows of this destiny, it
is at the very least guarded as a state secret.
- This alone is a major sore spot; that a government that
considers itself to be the epitome of a free nation and to some
degree the leader of the "free" world should have to resort to
classifying so much information is alarming.
- Many of our founding fathers were freemasons and members
of other metaphysical orders. I would assume that their
tradition has been passed down, but it is not so clear that it
was passed to current government leaders.
- If any group (metaphysical of otherwise) is presently aware
of this destiny, they too seem to be keeping it in secret.
- Why this is so is most likely a matter of need to know.
In this area, spirit can operate in much the same way as the
government does.
- One only has to take one hard look at the back of a $1 bill
to know that there is clearly a deep symbolic meaning being
expressed.
- It may be that the meaning is meant to be clear to the
subconscious, though pieces like the unfinished pyramid,
13=Death, and the all-seeing eye of God are obvious.
CONCLUSIONS
SOCIETY'S GREATEST PROBLEM IS THE LACK OF A SOCIAL CONTRACT
BETWEEN AND AMONG ITS MEMBERS.
- From each according to their abilities, to each according to
their needs (physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual).
ONCE A SOCIAL CONTRACT IS ESTABLISHED, WORK ON A NEW
INFRASTRUCTURE CAN BEGIN.
- Will require a Constitutional Convention to redefine
government.
- Will require massive changes in the economic system and the
way both goods & services and wealth are distributed.
ONLY WITH SUCH CHANGES CAN THE UNITED STATES POISE ITSELF TO
FULFILL ITS SPIRITUAL DESTINY OF ESTABLISHING A NEW ORDER FOR THE
AGES.
