NAMASTE
Guidance for Week 1
Welcome! In the weeks and months ahead, I hope to get to know each one of you very well. More important however, is assisting you to KNOW THYSELF. We'll be able to do this best if we understand that we are all teachers as well as students already. This will require making a commitment to share and care about one another, even though this may be a bit difficult or even scary at times. That's OK. You won't be forced to do anything. My basic philosophy is that learning should be a challenge, but above all else learning must be FUN!!!!!!
This weeks reading assignment is the Introduction to the Beyond Imagination Notes and the Notes from Nov 93 that are found there.
As you read through the Notes, pay particular attention to:
- What different states of consciousness are being expressed? Start keeping notes of how many different states there are. Do it in a manner that you can add to week by week. Where possible, identify the key characteristics for each state.
-
What different parts of self express and what do these parts know of one another? Also, how do they interact? In particular, pay attention to when EGO rears its head and how it is dealt with. Also, start identifying when self vs Self vs SELF appears to express.
-
What conclusions are being reached and what processes are being used to arrive at those conclusions? When is reason vs intuition vs direct knowing occurring? When are the conclusions WRONG and what makes them so? Yes, throughout the Notes there are many things that are downright wrong. I realize that now. I did not know it when I was having the experiences.
-
How is the psyche reacting? What is the emotional state? How does this impact the understandings that are being reached?
-
What KEY truths are being expressed by spirit? And, how is it that they were able to be expressed at that particular time?
-
What core beliefs are being expressed ... and what is the basis for them?
-
Where is "awareness" demonstrated and how? What specific examples best illustrate this? How long is the "awareness" maintained?
As you read, keep a list of any questions. Initially, try to e-mail any questions to me by Friday evening. Please confine questions to one e-mail to make it easier for me to deal with.
Initially, I'll address questions. However, as the class progresses I expect many of the questions will be resolved by people in the class interacting with one another.
Along with your questions, please identify what times might be appropriate for a class chat and whether you have access to IRC.
