lion Well, no use letting the lack of a crowd stop my from expressing ... Hmm, is that an example of EGO expressing?

lion For those who haven't found us, please visit The Search for Center. We publish a monthly "newsletter", the third issue of which just came out on Friday. Though, the newsletter doesn't really contain any "news".

lion Ego is an interesting word. Numerologically it is 576 = 24 squared. From the center out it is 7:56 or 4 to 8 which is sound equivalent to 428. I have found all of these to be extremely important numbers on my spiritual path in the past few years.

lion I guess it is a bit egocentric to think that what is important to me personally is also important to the world. But that is truly how I see reality. The microcosm around me is equivalent to the macrocosm. The scale is unimportant. All is revealed and mirrored in our immediate worlds ... howsoever we choose to limit or expand them.

lion Yes, there are more formal definitions as well ... but I like to keep things simple when I can.

lion The mark I leave on the world is my "expression" ... only I have learned that it is not really mine, for I am but the vehicle through which spirit manifest her works. It is SHE not I who is the creator of it all. I simply experience and watch it all, oblivious to exactly how it all happens.

lion So, what brings you here tonight Alain?

lion I choose Monday nights as a regular time to be available to conduct a Community Forum on a topic that I select. This makes the 7th attempt ... only 3 of which have actually drawn others.

lion But, I don't mind overall. My sense is that others will come when the time is right. Until then I use the opportunity to express whatever spirit would express through me and trust that whatever it is will be worth the time and attention that I give to it.

lion Thus far, I have no complaints. My journey of the past 44 months has been quite interesting taking me to places (states of being and consciousness) that I never knew existed before.

lion What brings you here tonight Sunny?

Sunny The journey is as wonderous as the destination, is it not! :) At least, I have found it to be so!

lion I call my spiritual path and works, BEYOND IMAGINATION. Extensive writings can be found at my site.

lion INDEED Sunny! In fact, one might even say it is only the JOURNEY that matters at all.

lion And, of course, the works that SPIRIT does through us, as we travel on our paths.

Sunny Just wanted to touch base with friends and then went "room-hopping" to see if there were any discussions going on that I wanted to participate in. I am always eager to learn and share knowledge with others who are walking their true path!

lion That's wonderful! I'm still pretty much in Hermit mode. I've met a few others in the past 9 months, but I find that I need to allow what can be expressed through me to come out ... thus far primarily in writings. Many have accessed my works, but few comment or provide feedback. At least thus far.

Sunny I agree with what you say about the Journey being what matters! Since we are all expressions of Spirit, our journey is the reflection of Spirit we choose to show the world - and the aspect of the world we choose to experience as an expression of Spirit! - Circular, but then most true logic does turn back to its beginning at some point!

lion So, have you any experiences to share regarding how Ego expresses?

lion Yes, often logic does turn out that way. My profession is as an engineer, but I've learned that intuition is by far the greater tool to use in charting one's course in life.

Sunny Of course Lion! My ego expresses itself FAR more than it is invited to do so! Supressing my ego has been the greatest challenge of my path! It expresses - I negate - it expresses - I back up and try again - it expresses - I meditate - it expresses......

lion What is Ego to you? Does it have positive or negative connotations attached to it ... or both?

lion Hmm... I don't experience ego as an unwanted guest. I define it as that part of me responsible for dealing with physical reality. Further, I've seen it grow and change greatly over time ... especially once it learned that it could trust "inner" information as much if not more than "outer" information.

Sunny Ego has both positive and negative connotations attached to it for me.... it is in the way more often than not, creating inner work that uses energy and time I would rather be spending on other spiritual pursuits - but it is also positive in that it is a survival tool and a barometer.

lion It is not something that must be negated or supressed. However, it is also not something that should be the Master of our spiritual expression in flesh.

Resolver Hey you guys, come on over to Stonehenge. I'm sure your conversation will be welcomed. It's getting pretty superficial over there

lion Understand. It was that way for me for a long time as well. Then something happened. The struggle was over. The Ego was no longer the dominant force in my reality. Rather, it became a friend and ally.

Sunny I would prefer to be able to completely bypass "Ego" most of the time, Lion, since I would rather live directly from my "inner" without the "outer" filtering or diluting the Light and Energy - but I haven't achieved that ability on any kind of regular basis yet, so I still need my Ego at this point - just have to keep its negative aspects firmly harnessed!

lion Resolver: It is often that way in Stonehenge. I prefer to start fresh in another room and see who comes. :) Welcome!

Sunny Hello, Resolver! You are right - I was there for a little while, but don't know anyone to get into the kind of discussions they were in - so I came here and found Lion!

Sunny They sounded like they were enjoying themselves, Resolver - shall we just leave them to it? *Grin* Stay here with us! *HUG*

lion Hmm... that is interesting, and very "eastern". My sense is that we are here physically to express SPIRIT in flesh and to have it manifest in the outer. The inner alone is not sufficient any more. Or, such is how it seems to me anyway.

Resolver Yeah, this definitely sounds like the room for me. Let me catch up to you guys

lion From the beginning, BEYOND IMAGINATION has focussed on Building the Infrastuctures that would allow SPIRIT to more fully express in flesh through each one of us.

Sunny *LOL* I don't know if it is eastern or western or what - I just know that, for me, the journey is to harmonize the "inner" and "outer" or spirit and flesh until finally, there is no difference between the two. Right now, I am at the place where "inner" must be encouraged to influence "outer" for it is grossly materialistic and vibrationally too low to express spirit. Once "inner" has influenced the ego to the point that its vibrational level has raised considerably, then I can begin melding the two into the Light Being I am destined to become!

lion Thus far, these infrastructures are primarily ideas. But my sense is that it is time to go beyond ideas to specific actions that manifest the infrastructures and enable us to create the new world in which we would prefer to live.

lion Yes Sunny. I know firsthand where you are coming from. You may find my NOTES interesting. I documented my path for about 3 years. I am still amused at some of my "adventures" in consciousness.

Sunny I will be sure to read them! Resolver, have you "caught up to us" yet? Sure would like your ideas on this too!

lion In particular, things got pretty crazy in the Summer of 93, resulting in a 10-day "vacation" in a mental hospital in Oct 93. I was experiencing a major spiritual awakening. The psychiatrists thought otherwise ... but they have no clue! LOL!!!

Resolver Sunny, I agree on your last point. It is definitely a struggle to get the two to merge. I'm also at that point in my life.

lion My sense is that 1997 is to be a Year of Spiritual Manifestation. It came to me strongly about a week or so ago.

Sunny Lion, I have read of several who had to go through that. It is sad that our society has been so asleep.... but I see signs of an awakening just about everywhere I look in the last few months! It is a wonderful sight!

Resolver Lion, you've been to a funny farm?! I would never have guessed. You seem like one of the most down to earth people I've talked to.

Resolver lion, me too. '97 is definitely going to be a year of change.

lion Very good Resolver. It seems that it is time to start finding our true family. We will know them by their works and their paths. We will naturally be drawn to those we are somehow meant to work with. There is a larger Plan ... SPIRIT'S PLAN ... that employs us all, once we are willing to do HER work that is. :)

Resolver Sometimes I get the same reaction to my POV's, lion. Everyone thinks I'm crazy because I believe in peace... is that so strange?

Sunny Resolver, it has been my experience that "struggling" is allowing the Ego to take the upper hand and turn the whole thing into a battle...... for me it has to be more of a gradual, patient, loving, "letting go" of Ego - through meditation, affirmations, instant recognition and correction when I make a decision, choice, or judgement from Ego's seat, etc....

lion Resolver. Only spent ten days there. They diagnosed me as bipolar and but me on Lithium to control the mania. Bipolar is "manic-depressive". But, I have never been depressed to my knowledge. The mania came on suddenly in 1993. It took awhile to get used to how it affected my thoughts and beliefs.

Resolver I totally agree with you lion. Once we begin to follow our intuitions it will all fall into place.

Sunny What does lithium do?

lion Resolver. Interesting. An aura reader once told me that my sole purpose for being here was PEACE. Also interesting that I've spent all my working life working for the Air Force, directly then as a contractor. And yes, HER!!!!! For me, my connection to spirit is with an essence/energy that feels feminine to me. So, SPIRIT is HER. LOL!!!!

Sunny I need to find a "chat" dictionary - it was obvious when you spelled it out for me! *wry grin*.... I haven't been at this very long and don't know all the abbreviations yet.

Resolver So I take it you are also feminine?

Sunny Bulldog, yes. Or Anybody that can tell me..... my niece (17 yrs old) has been diagnosed with manic depression and they are always talking about her being "non-compliant" with her Lithium. I don't know enough about it to understand what she is experiencing or why the Lithium is supposed to be important.

lion Lithium is a natural salt. It balances the bodies chemistry in a manner such that the substances involved in mania and depression aren't able to operate as quickly.

lion No Revolver. Male. Though I do have feminine aspects that express through me ... like strong intuition.

Sunny Ok, I understand - so they want her to take it so doesn't continue to have the extreme mood swings and cyclic behavior she has been having for the last couple of years, right?

Resolver Oh, sorry about that. I also have my fair share of the moon in me.

Bulldog lithium puts out the "fire" so to speak, that seems to take over....manic is when you have a song playing in your head constantly, and every little problem you can dredge up is constantly being analyzed for error and every other distraction you can imagine is after your attention and a constant feeling of pissed off permeates everything and......it goes on and on

lion My sister is also bipolar. She doesn't like taking the Lithium because it moderates her moods too much. She doesn't experience the lows as much but she loses the highs when on Lithium. She'd prefer to live with the depression rather than give up the highs.

Resolver Man, bulldog - I think I might be manic

lion For me, when I get manic, it is as if spirit is speaking to me directly through the symbolic world that is imposed on our physical one. Names and everday numbers take on rich spiritual meaning. My mind is literally flying. It is an incredible high ... and it is very REAL, even if I've not met another being who perceives what I see in a way that I can relate to anyway.

Resolver Bulldog - right now I'm on Zoloft - familiar?

lion Bulldog. I'm the same. I'd rather take too little than too much. There is too much to create and express. The mania provides a useful edge.

Resolver lion - I think you may have found another. It's as if every little thing, no matter how insignificant, has at least 5 meanings that pertain to you or anything else

lion Yes Resolver, somewhat anyway. The mania and spiritual awakenings have led to 2000 or so pages of metaphysical writings since Mar 93. Metaphysics has been a major force in my life since 1974, but I wasn't moved to write until Mar 93.
