Musings of a Spiritual Warrior
27 December 1999
Namaste All! What a wonderful day to be alive. Should that not be true of every day? Indeed, it should. Yet, how often do we experience this frame of mind? Clearly, not often enough ... at least for me anyway. My attention is having a difficult time being focussed on anything besides spiritual matters once again. Tis the season afterall. But, the job demands a degree of attention to the work at hand. How does one gain control over one's attention? At least for me, it will not be forced ... it simply gets bored and moves towards sleep when I try to force it to do something. Yes, this means that I am not consciously the master of my own mind. But, I am sure that most people find themselves in this state as well. Sometimes, despite one's good intentions, one simply cannot keep one's mind on one's work. That's just the way it is. It is curious watching the process however. It ever amazes me to see consciousness in operation. At times, it is truly a struggle to stay focused and awake. At other times, one is in the flow and it is the easiest thing in the world to do.
From a larger perspective, staying awake and aware is what consciousness is all about. That and expressing whatever she is moved to express. That is the key. One must frame the context of one's work world to give consciousness an avenue through which to creatively express. There is always a way to do this no matter what the task at hand. We just have to find the way and then allow consciousness to naturally express. This requires that we quit fighting ... and simply allow, to go with the flow. Is this not what the Tao is all about? This is how we live up to the maxim be all that you can be despite the circumstances that we find ourselves within.
Just over four days until the big event ... the turning of the millenium, the arrival of the year 2000. Is that such a big deal? From the standpoint of consciousness, indeed it is. It is the only day in 1000 years that all four digits of the year change. But, you say, the calendar is arbitrary. However, such is not the case. None of the symbol systems used in your world are arbitrary, especially those used by large numbers of people in your world. Yes, there are other calendars ... the Hebrew, Mayan, and Chinese come to mind; each of these is important in marking time in the world. The Julian calendar is particularly noteworthy in that it lines up to Astrological Ages in reverse, starting with the Piscean Age. It is curious that the Mayan calendar comes to a completion point in 2012. In many ways, 2012 is indeed the more significant transformation time for your world. You might say that it takes that long for the new millenium to kick in. It appears that many will at an inner level sense a major shift, but it will take many years to manifest in flesh. I've been prophesying major change as immanent since 1993 -- for over six years and indeed such has occurred in my reality. But, while the world has undergone many changes in that time, they are not of the nature that was predicted in the Beyond Imagination works. What went wrong ... I do not know. Perhaps my attachment to making a major difference in the world colored what I was able to express. Perhaps I needed to believe the changes were immanent to emerse myself in the expression of consciousness to the point where nothing else really mattered. My sense is that I had exactly the experience that I needed to experience to enable me to know my Self and be all that I could be.
Here, I am not unique. We are all having such experiences to bring out the very best in each of us. That is the nature of reality creation. Consciousness ever seeks to expand the vessels through which she expresses so that more spirit can be expressed in flesh. That is the whole purpose of the game. And what a grand game it is. Consciousness playing hide and seek, ever in search of herself and her expression. Further, the is only ONE consciousness experiencing it all. Light and dark and mirrors, everywhere mirrors -- such is material out of which reality is created. Everything vibration ... the WORD made flesh. And what is vibration but alternate periods of high and low, of light and dark. It is but for consciousness to sing her song and the world is born and all that lies within it. The song goes on forever ... allowing all possibilities to be made manifest. Yet, as individuals, we only experience pieces, in particular, pieces that we chose. The wave function of probabilities collapses for us whenever we make a choice. My sense is still that these choices are made at other than conscious levels, though I am starting to see a need to allow conscious free choice into the mix as a valid mode for consciousness to express. I believe that the primary conscious choice involves the choice of beliefs and the focus of attention. You get what you focus upon. And, reality conforms to your beliefs, whatever they are.
So, what really determines what we experience? How do we choose our reality? Primarily, we get what we focus on. Some people use goals to hone their focus. I tried this once on Dec 31, 1992. My experiences in 1993 taught me that goals are powerful indeed. Before I knew it, I had achieved many of my goals and was certain to achieve the rest. However, my reality got turned topsy-turvy as I gave consciousness a wider birth to express through me. I ended up not achieving half of the goals afterall ... and it took over two years to recover from my experiences and truly understand and integrate them into my awareness. Actually, I am still integrating these experiences and the subsequent ones over the past six years. I suspect I will be in this mode of integrating and making the unknown known for the rest of my life ... which is forever.
What is the purpose of time? It gives us a domain in which to experience reality a step at a time. In doing so, we can experience change. However, too much change ... too little order results in too much chaos making it difficult to sustain form. Too little change, too much rigidity and the form is unable to adapt and create interesting behavior. We are here to experience the expression of spirit in flesh. We are consciousness first and foremost, expressing through form. Actually, we are the awareness of consciousness expressing through form.
I AM THAT I AM THAT YOU ARE!
LOVE,
Wayne
