The year rapidly winds to a close. On the one hand, it is just another year. On the other hand, it is the final year of a millenia. That distinction makes it special. Yet, is it truly that special? What makes it any different than any other year? 1999 => 2000, all four digits change. Further, this marks the entry to the 21st century. 20 is Judgement in the Tarot. So, we are moving from 19:The Sun to 20:Judgement. Further, 21 is the World. In many ways, the 1900's were indeed years of Judgement on many fronts ... but they were also years of intense creativity, especially for technology.

1999 is a 28/10/1 year. 2000 is a 2 year. The millenia years are the only times when we see a reduction by 26 between years. That doesn't leave much for identifying a trend ... especially since the calendar is somewhat arbitrary anyway. The Hebrew and Chinese calendars have very different years ... each valid in their own right. Every symbol system has meaning however, and calendars are no different. There are no accidents. The calendar is what it is to express what spirit would have it express. My understanding is that the calendar marks the level of spiritual awareness that is manifest in the system. Time marches forward only as the awareness grows. We are moving from the second millenium to the third. 2 is the High Priestess. It deals primarily with duality. 3 is the Empress. It deals with manifestation of abundance. That is what is in store for the new age if we will but embrace the principles necessary to make it so.

Optimistic thinking ... perhaps, but as the creators of our reality, we do indeed control what will be manifest not just at individual levels but en masse. The Play has gotten us to this point where we are now ready to embark on a more conscious endeavor of creating what we desire. I was going to say "want" but I remembered that such has been one of the major problems to date. We have created "want" ... LACK on a major scale. It is time to take responsibility for all and create abundance on a massive scale. It is a matter of choice. We have the mechanisms in place to create all the goods and services that we need. It is a matter of deciding that we will enable each individual and each family to get what they need. This requires some re-creation of the economic system.

Looking out to the world, it is interesting to realize that we, the workers pay for everything in the economic system. We pay all the wages, and all the costs involved in producing and distributing everything. We pay for all the commercials and advertising. This applies not only to what our taxes pay for, but everything. Yet, how much say do we have in the current economic system? The bottom line is not much. We can choose what we will consume, dependent highly on our position in the economic system. Our salary puts distinct boundaries on what we can consume, though even then there is a range of freedom.

This is the major area that needs to change. If we can generate abundance for all on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels ... we free people to engage with one another to a degree that has never been possible before. This is what it takes to more fully manifest spirit in flesh. If we can manifest abundance, all else will be added unto us. We have the technology to manifest abundance here and now. In fact, many people in the world would say we have done this exceedingly well. However, we've imposed arbitrary restrictions on how much of this abundance flows to the individuals and families in our country. We knowingly allow millions to live below the poverty level. Why? Simply because we haven't accepted responsibility collectively for the welfare of all. But, they are responsible for themselves, are they not? Why should that be? Why do they not deserve their fair share of the abundance that the US is able to produce? Yes, they need to do their part ... but they deserve a helping hand as well. I'm aware that many would not agree with this at this time, but that does not make them right. It is time for there to be a conscious contract between individuals and society. We've talked about this many times before.

From each according to their abilities, to each according to their needs.

This is indeed the contract that needs to be established. When will we willingly embrace it as the guiding principle by which we live and manifest our reality? The sooner we do, the sooner we will be able to focus on those things that really matter ... rather than the day to day stuff of basic existence.

Why is entertainment such a major factor in our lives today? Television, movies, concerts, sports events, etc ... all vie for significant parts of our attention. They expose many to the same messages, the same expressions of creativity. In a very real way, this is how the mass consciousness gets educated. One can identify a lot about the level of awareness of people by their recreations and how they occupy themselves in their idle times. Everything points toward increased readiness for leaps of awareness. It's as if the entertainment industry is preparing people to live in a new world by planting seeds in their consciousness. This is not surprising since creativity comes from spirit, from consciousness herself. Interesting. Yes, indeed. What needs to be expressed is being expressed. It has always been thus ... and evermore shall be.

The only question is when will the leap take place ... and will it be gradual or sudden? In the end all that matters is that the leap occurs. And, there is a sense that it simply must occur. The very time we live in guarantees it. 19 99 = 118, 20 00 = 20. This is a reduction by 98 = 1:20(78) = 1:10(88). Hmm ... from the middle, we have 91-99, span of 8, centered at 95 = 1:05(88). 20 00 = 00-02, span of 2, centered at 01:The Magician. It is curious that the second span is reversed. 20 02 should be an interesting year of transformation as well with no span, centered at 02:The High Priestess. This is followed by 97 years in the opposite (forward) direction. That makes the first 3 years of the new millenium highly special from a spiritual perspective. They will set the tone for what is to be manifest in the whole century. In the 1900s, only 91 through 99 (9 years) were in the forward direction. Actually, this suggests that that the progress that has been rampant for the past decade will continue on it's course.

We've predicted before that the time for change was nigh ... but that was out of the heights of mania when it seemed that the year 2000 was an eternity away. In very real ways, it was an eternity away. Yet in other ways, it was but a brief moment. Waiting for change can be very difficult when one's spirit is flying. However, I have not yet found ways to assist others in reaching similar states of mind. I've documented my states as accurately as I can, but I cannot know what experience another gets by walking in my thoughts for awhile. My hope is that sufficient context is provided to get people out of their common mode or pattern for a little while. This is enough to catch a glimpse of what is possible. No, my way is not for everyone ... but I believe that many might benefit from the example of what spirit has been able to express through me.

There is a renewed energy flowing through my veins. I am excited by what lies in store. My sense is that major change is forthcoming ... primarily because I am choosing to make it so. Exactly what this will be remains to be seen. But, the desire is there in a way that it has never been before. Something will come of it ... of that I am certain. It is time to be more than a community of one, and more than a community of Self. This means finding ways to involve others in my dream ... or making our joint visions compatable so that we can manifest new expressions of spirit. "Where two or more are gathered in his name ... there is LOVE." Are those not the words of a song? And what a wonderful song it is. Further, where there is LOVE, miracles manifest.
