Musings of a Spiritual Warrior
15 March 1999
Once more I am moved to express through this medium what can and must be expressed. I know not where it will lead but I trust that if I simply allow the words to flow forth they will ... and with an organization and meaning that I could not consciously bestow. So, this is an exercise of faith ... requiring reliance on unseen processes within my being. However, the results are testament that such processes do indeed exist. Further, I am not unique in this. What works for me can work for others. However, one must believe in oneself and in the expression of consciousness through this vessel. That requires holding a grander view of "self" that most people presently have. That's OK ... that is part of what I am here for; to provide an example of what you are as well.
What would come forth today? That is the question of the moment. But then, NOW is always the moment. Spirits' nature is to express creatively in the world. She is the muse behind all genius, the beauty behind all expression. She is the very weaver of the fabric that we call reality. And, what a rich tapestry she has woven for us to play in. Yes, spirit is experiencing the joy of playing within this fabric at all times. When we are not in joy of the process, enjoying life, we are out of synch with that part of ourselves. The solution is to find the playful child within us that is always there awaiting us to allow it to come out. The child's world is one of joy... one where imagination and magic reign supreme. That is the key ... getting the MAGIC back into our lives by allowing our imagination to fly where it will and construct the world as we would prefer it to be. Then again, imagination may not be creating such worlds, it may only be allowing us to SEE and hence choose such worlds to experience.
Curious, as I express this, I have reached a state where my world has gotten somewhat boring ... both at work and at home. So much so, that I literally sleep half the day away and have trouble staying awake much of the rest of the time. This has been going on for several weeks now. It is telling me something. It is if the real world were the recurring dream and the sleep world is where the true work is occurring. I truly sense that this is somehow correct. I'm working out details in semi-sleep states and in dreams, though I have limited conscious awareness of exactly what is being worked out. Whatever it is, is right at this particular moment. My reality is unfolding exactly as it should; as is the global world reality. But then, why does it not feel right? It is as if there is not enough change manifesting anymore. Things have become far too stagnant. Yet, I don't know what to do to get things to change. This is a constant struggle ... between finding a routine that one enjoys and finding new things that break the routine for novelty. It is in the NEW where creativity is manifest. So, how do I express creatively in areas of my life that are blocked? Good question. It is the nature of questions that when they are asked, the answers are already within.
Here we are in 1999, just nine months from the turn of the century. I've been writing of major change for several years. It seems time that such change was manifest. Perhaps it will be, perhaps not. The bottom line seems to be that what will be will be. On the one hand, we have no choice of what will be ... on the other hand, we choose and create it all. Which is correct? The paradox is that both are correct simultaneously. Yes, such indeed is the challenge ... how to choose without chosing ... how to be in this world without being of this world.
How do I increase my understanding and awareness of whom that I am? The basic process is by noticing things in my reality that are NOT ME and finding a way to integrate these into what I am. This is the basic exercise of THAT I AM. It just occurred to me that we can also bring change by changing the static arrangement of things in our physical space. There is a place for everything, but this may not be the present place it occupies. Hmm ... My office at work changed completely a few weeks ago. My home during the week has objects arranged in a certain way, some of which have not moved in over two years. Looking around, it seems that there is a "messiness" around part of the space that needs to be cleaned up. For awhile, I just allowed things to find their own place. Now, it seems that I need to more consciously participate in the process. My home away from home is just one room, so there are not a lot of things to put in their right place. Also, many of the things are where they need to be already.
What else do I have control over? My local world is a reflection of the outer world and vice-versa. By changing the local world, I change the outer world as well. Further, this corresponds to a change in the inner world as well. Wow! So, this is the key to change. Think universally, act locally. Such is how dreams are made flesh.
At this moment, my room contains the history of BEYOND IMAGINATION. It has the remnants of all the products I have generated and all the actions I have taken, including the originals of the works that I brought to Kinko's to get copied. I also have many of the books (greater than 200) I have read over the years. Interesting, most people haven't read close to 200 books in their lifetime. Yet, for me, this is just a small sample of the books that I have read. I still can't get over thinking of books as programs for the mind. They provide a pattern of input against which we resonate. Great books cause us to experience them in a refreshing new way each time we encounter them. Not all books are Great Books however. Further, what may be great may differ with the awareness of the reader. People on the path of greater awareness appear to attract the material they need to grow.
Be Happy and Create Well! In Peace, Love and Light,
