The writings have been few and far between of late. This is primarily because I'm dealing with the meaning of reality in a different way, one which I find more difficult to express. Also, it is time to go beyond rehashing what has come before and develop something that is special and different. I don't know what that is yet. It is one of those you'll know it when you see it kind of things.

I am still very alone in my spiritual endeavors ... continuing to venture into the unknown and return on occassion to express what I have found. Occassionally, I read the works of others to give me a reference point. Recently, I started re-reading Conversation with God, Book 3. It's wonderful. It does a great job to pave the way for a shift in consciousness regarding religion that lies on the immediate horizon.

All this fear and preparation for Y2K is interesting as well. It is especially interesting that it took so long to get companies concerned enough to put resources into investigating and fixing the potential problems. At this point it is not clear what the impact will be. My overall sense is that the problems are not as bad as they are being made out to be. However, the whole computer environment is becoming somewhat of a warzone with all manner of viruses out there to attack unwary systems and several companies focused on building up to date software able to squash the latest in viruses almost as soon as they are detected. The virus killers rely on the virus makers to generate a continuous market for software. Interesting. I wonder in how many areas of endeavor is such the operating mode?

My energy feels stymied and blocked for some reason. I have been sleeping a lot lately (partially to fight illness) because my consciousness needed a rest from it's ties to this body. Interesting way to look at it. But that is exactly the result. Every 16 hours is two days of sleep. For several days, I was sleeping more than this. Also, I like the state between waking and sleeping very much. It is where my mind is open to imagine without the normal restrictions of the ego. I've been fighting with staying awake at work as well. There is just not enough exciting/engaging work to do to keep my talents occupied and interested. This makes it hard to stay focussed, which makes it especially tough to deal with detailed work.

Yet, what can I do instead that would provide me with an equivalent or MORE income? What services do I have to offer that people would be willing to pay for and pay well for? It is not like I'm a lawyer or doctor. But there must be some way for a metaphysician to make his way in the world. Indeed, there must!! Let's see, I can write, and I can teach people to see the world through a different set of eyes that should make them more productive in all that they do. I can also consult, observing how a system/set of processes is working and finding ways for improvement. I can show people simple ways of improving their information environment that can significantly enhance their productivity.

Yes, but stretch. How do you apply your abilities on an even larger scale to impact millions? Yes, millions! But, is that even for me to do? Is that what consciousness would have me do? Right now, consciousness would have you take a chance and bet on yourself to do what YOU are moved to do by your own volition. There is only ONE HERE NOW. My will for YOU is your will for ALL. Here, I would have to be in an environment that allowed me to test out some of the principles for social organization that have come through in the writings. Building the equivalent of a "real" EPCOT center, one that was not just an amusement but a real place to live and work out the ways to be cooperatively interdependent. Hmm ... who would sponsor such an endeavor? ... and for what reasons? Are not some of the "retirement communities" and "gated communities" already working some of this out. Perhaps that would be a fitting task, to explore what is being done to solve what problems, and identify where the holes are that require outside work, be it volunteer or paid, to address. Do what you are moved to do. Do that which engages your talents and abilities. Allow others to do the same. In the end, all that needs to be done, will indeed be done as required.

For now, keep making connections that permit new meanings to be realized ... that is where you shine. It is what you most love to do. It truly does engage your soul as well as mind and body. This is tough to do within the confines of an eight by ten office with no windows. But such has never contained you imagination anyway.

So, when will I be able to soar at work as well as at play again? It will be thus when the time comes. Be patient awhile and allow what has been sown to grow and come to fruition. You have planted well. Care for what has been planted, nurture and water it, and then eat of the fruit thereof when it has become ripe. Not all the fruit will necessarily be good. Observe what works and what doesn't and go with what works ... trusting fully in the process of creation.
