Connections between people take time and effort to build. Yet, these may be the most rewarding of connections that we can have, especially if they are deep, allowing us to touch one anothers souls. People are systems with inputs, processes, and outputs like all other systems. The processes may be complex, even highly complex, but we can learn a lot by putting together whatever pieces of the puzzle that we can. That reminds me of a blonde joke that I heard earlier this week:
A blonde asks her boyfriend if he'll help her with a puzzle of a tiger. He looks at the box, shakes his head and says to her: "Forget it honey, that's a box of Frosted Flakes."
Context switch. I'm an information processing system, a highly complex, self-aware system, but a processing system nonetheless. I only have a limited understanding of what creates the inputs that I experience, not so much on the outside, but definitely on the inside in terms of thoughts and feelings. I even have models for some parts of how I function. And, collectively, we have an even greater understanding of who we are and how we function as individuals. We use models as thoughtforms that describe how various systems behave. These enable us to interact with our environment to create a great variety of things ... in particular goods and services that fuel an entire economic system. Systems within systems within systems, but not just in a hierarchical pattern ... reality is far more open ended than that. We are each complex systems that play our roles in multiple larger wholes. Some of these include family, job, church, community, country, and even world. In addition, there may be many voluntary groups or teams that we are members of as well. Thus far, I've been reluctant to enter into social groupings, even as an observer. That is just not where I am comfortable, and I like to be comfortable. I also like to soar in consciousness. And, for that, metaphysics is still the best game in town.
Where is all of this leading? The realizations keep coming. The sense of immanent major change is there as well, both on a personal and a global scale. However, there are no particulars regarding what might happen when. Perhaps that is good. It keeps the focus on the moment and doing what we can therein. What can one person do. The scope of the most pressing problems seems to be so large that there is nothing that can be done. However, that is not the case. In this day and age, one person can do a lot. By thinking and believing in new ways and acting congruent with that, we become wayshowers that create paths for others to follow. We have no idea of who we might impact and how. That is for the universe to decide. All that we can do is what we are moved to do, making choices aligned with the greatest expression of whom that we are in each moment. Further, whom that we are to a large degree is whom that we choose to be. However, often this choice occurs at other than conscious levels.
YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IN A BUSINESS OF YOUR OWN says the fortune that sits near my computer. That would indeed be ideal for me. But what goods can I create or what services can I provide and how would I market them? Who is in the market for what I have to offer. I can sit and think. I can observe systems, identify where the problem areas are, and offer potential solutions to the problems. With systems becoming more and more complex and interacting in ways that are beyond logical, these are useful skills. There is still the sense that I am in training to be a philosopher king in the context of The Republic of Plato. It is curious that my mom was born in Republic, MI and my parents returned there to live when my father retired a decade ago. Further, it is curious that my father was born in Freedom, PA. MI = 139 PA = 161. Their sum is 300. I was born in the territory of Hawai'i in 1958 (77), on 4/8 when there were only 48 states. That makes 48:The Man in Search of More particularly relevant to me. And, this is indeed what I have been for all of my life. I search for the moreness in life. I search for connections that others do not see. I search for the intelligence pulling the strings behind the play that we are experiencing and cocreating. My tools in this endeavor are my very self and my senses, especially including my intuition. It is in this stream of consciousness that I get to see firsthand what connections have been made and what new awareness has been reached.
I AM THAT I AM THAT YOU ARE! Be Happy and Create Well!
LOVE,
Wayne
