FORUM #10 (also #6): "Core Beliefs and Reality Creation"
Here the intent is to explore core beliefs and how they impact the reality creation process. We want to get into specific examples of core beliefs that empower individual creative expression and more importantly enable people to cooperate and co-create a community that is truly supportive on all levels.
Beliefs are extremely powerful and important. From a practical standpoint, they provide the operating program through which nearly all of our energies related to reality creation must be filtered in order to manifest. They can operate as a straitjacket or as a pair of wings that permit us to soar. Almost everything that we experience is brought into our reality via our beliefs, or to allow us to SEE what our beliefs are doing to us so that we will question and perhaps take action to change them.
I've personally been interested in beliefs and how beliefs work for over two decades. My readings have enabled me to come across more beliefs that many probably see in a dozen lifetimes. However, that doesn't suffice to make me an expert. For in this area, what we are consciously aware of is but the tip of the iceberg. Yes, even after twenty years of study.
Fortunately, that doesn't seem to matter a lot. What counts most is what we personally belief and why. The bottom line is that beliefs can make life easier, and they can empower us in ways that permit us to not only use all of our own faculties and abilities, but to enjoin the very forces of the universe, and spirit herself in our life and our expressions of the consciousness that we are.
We do not have to be confined by the walls created by beliefs imposed on us while we were children growing up. We can choose at any time to be free. In many ways beliefs are the clothes that we wear as we go about manifesting our own reality in the world. Some people go out in their Sunday best all the time. Others have nothing but rags. What I've found is that the only thing that really counts is utility. Do our beliefs serve us. Do they allow us to be all that we can be and to express whom that we truly are. Do they result in Joy and Happiness, and the expression of Love in our lives. If not, perhaps some changes are in order.
One of the first beliefs that serves to empower, is the belief that nothing is hidden from us. Our beliefs can be examined by us at anytime, and can be changed by us at any time. There are no locked doors for which we have no key. They are no dark rooms full of monsters that have to be dealt with. This is easy stuff. We are spirit in flesh. We have the power to choose to believe anything we want to believe, whenever we choose to do so.
Given that, beliefs are our playground. The game we are playing is "express spirit in flesh". Yes, the game has a few rules ... but the most important of these is that you will experience as you believe. The external world is but a mirror of the internal world. If you don't like what you see or experience on the outside, find what is causing it on the inside and change it there. One this is done, the outer will change to conform to what has changed in the inner. No, this doesn't always happen immediately ... but, it can happen very quickly.
Give yourself time to think about and become aware of your beliefs. But do so fully expecting that what you believe will indeed be made known to you soon. As you start examining your beliefs, you will find that they come in clumps of closely related things that are more loosely tied to other clumps. Knowing this helps in a few respects:
(1) The beliefs at the center of major clumps are core beliefs. When you alter these, you impact whole trees of beliefs at one time.
(2) Because many of the connections are loose, contradictory beliefs can appear in different clumps. When this happens, essentially we give up any power in these areas and the result shows up as unknowns and/or contradictory events in our reality.
(3) There is a structure to how our beliefs are organized. And it is fully within our power to consciously understand this structure enough to harness it and use it to allow spirit to more fully express through us.
(4) Beliefs are like tables. They need legs to support them. Beliefs with few legs form very wobbly tables that can topple over easily. Beliefs with many legs are much sturdier. However, if such beliefs do not serve us, changing them is much more difficult as well. We may have to start by launching our attack on some of the supporting beliefs first.
(5) Throughout this, it is useful to understand that many of the beliefs we hold, even as adults, have never really been questioned by us. They have no real support, and a minor gust of wind is all it takes to topple them.
(6) When you play the belief game, do it with gusto ... believe with all your heart then see what is reflected in your reality. If you like what you see, all is fine. If you don't, alter your beliefs and actions and look for feedback again.
(7) Personally, I carry this to such an extreme that I can appear to be stubborn and rigorously set in my beliefs. However, that is only the appearance in the moment. When you observe the contents of my beliefs over time, you would be surprised at both the number and the magnitude of changes that occur.
(8) Beliefs always deal in the realm of the unknown. They deal with things that cannot be proved. Often this amounts to accepting something on faith. Where proof exists, there is no room for beliefs to play. However, not to worry ... the unknown is such a major part of our reality that the playground for beliefs is quite large indeed.

wunjo: So, did my beliefs make that happen to Aeneas? (he got hit by a car and died on 11/11)
lion: Good question wunjo. I don't think there was necessarily a direct connection. But, what do you believe about accidents such as animals being hit by cars? Is this a chance occurrance? Did Aeneas in some way choose for it to occur? ... There are many possibilities ... but what do YOU believe?
Di: Your welcome wunjo. May you all find love, light and happiness in your life. Look for all the good, and it comes. Give out love, and you receive it back ten fold. Blessings to you all...and now I must go. *gone*
wunjo: well dolphin said he did not know what happen to him it was fast, he (Aeneas) was confused, so am I , I don't know if it was his time to go or if I made it happen somehow???
Woman: wunjo - Maybe animals who have short lives are Avatars. They just don't need a long life to accomplish whatever Spirit had in mind.

wunjo: what is an Avatar?
lion: No wunjo, it was not your "fault" in any way. Such events happen in a timing that spirit chooses, not us. What is left for us is to try to figure out what it means ... and what we are supposed to learn from it. "This is what it feels like to be very sad" can be a useful lesson ... but is not particularly empowering. There are always other meanings and other lessons ... if only we are receptive to them.
lion: Avatars are "enlightened ones", spiritual masters.
wunjo: well I have not figured them out :(
lion: Sorry Woman. Didn't mean to make it sound like an order. LOL!!! Though I can be a bit of a dictator at times. You need to add "if such is your wish, or if it pleases you" to what I say ... then choose for yourself.
lion: That's OK wunjo ... just trust that they are there and that they will be revealed to you when the time is right.
lion: wunjo - also, when you are feeling sad ... try to remember back to some of the best times you had with Aeneas. As you do this, you will allow him to help transform your state.
wunjo: remembering is what makes me sad.
lion: It it not remembering ... rather it is how you are interpreting what you remember that brings on the sadness. You can just as easily choose to interpret the memories in a manner that brings great joy and happiness.
wunjo: oh ya ... you were going to tell me about the numbers you got recently
lion: True. Went to dinner on New Years Eve. The total came to $7.56 = 4 to 8 = 4:28. I think the message was that it is definitely 7:56 NOW. Earlier in the week a total at a store came to $5.76 = 7:56 from the middle out.
wunjo: wow amazing!!!
lion: Then, on New Years Day, I was looking in my wallet and I just happened to have four $1 bills with serial numbers in sequence. I figured out the meaning and wrote it down. I'll send it to you. But, the sequence included a bill with 2184 in it. The last four of my SSN. It blew me away.
lion: To top that off, I also made the connection that the year of my birth 1958 = 22:22(88), 22 cycles of 88 plus 22. That puts this year at 22:22+39 = 22:61. This is the CURRENT YEAR on the show BABYLON-5!!!!!!
wunjo: very interesting :)
lion: Then, at the B of A, they had a memorial to a cop that was killed. His badge number was 226. 2 to 6 = 5:58, which is the number corresponding to my initials "weh".
wunjo: wow that is alot !!!
lion: Anyway ... the numbers have been quite revealing lately. The bottom line is that there has been much confirmation for what I believe to be not only my personal timeline ... but spirits or the worlds timeline as well. I have no doubt that TIME is a representation of the collective state of awareness.
lion: But then, some people think I'm CRAZY ... including me at times. LOL!!!!
wunjo: no not crazy AWAKE
lion: After all, how many people TRULY BELIEVE that their spiritual purpose for being HERE is embedded in their Social Security Number of all things?

lion: Interesting wunjo. 71 is Building the Cathedral, 84 is The Lovers Exalted, 22 is The Fool Complete. My last four are 2184. This is very similar to yours. If we take it two digits at a time, 84 22, then reverse the two numbers, we get 22 84. It is almost like YOU are NEXT in the sequence. Quite interesting!!!

lion: Haven't figured out what 562 does yet. But it will come in time, I am sure.

lion: Good question wunjo! We are here tonight to discuss CORE BELIEFS and how they impact the REALITY that we CREATE for ourselves and jointly for the WORLD COLLECTIVELY.
lion: Let's start with personal core beliefs. What beliefs are the very foundations of your understanding of yourself, reality, and HOW the reality that you experience is created?
wunjo: hummm
lion: I believe that I CREATE MY OWN REALITY, period ... no exceptions. Further, I am completely responsible for ALL that I experience. However, I know that this process is not something that I am consciously aware of.
wunjo: hummmm
lion: In fact, I am not even consciously aware of creating the thoughts that flow through me NOW, much less the thoughts that flow through when I am in altered states of consciousness.
wunjo: so I created Aeneas' death?
lion: I know that I am that I AM. I am SPIRIT in flesh. It is the part of me that is spirit that is the creator in my life. For the most part my experience is confined to being the Actor and the Observer. The actor does, and the observer watches and tries to figure out what it all means.
wunjo: for that matter I created Aeneas
lion: Aeneas is a being as well. He (as spirit) was perfectly able to create/choose the reality that he experienced.
wunjo: ahh ok fine LOL:)
lion: You observed Aeneas death, or the results of it ... then created the reality that was your response to his passing, and your assessment of what it meant to YOU.
wunjo: ahh
lion: NO!!! Spirit created Aeneas ... as spirit created YOU!!! You did not create yourself, though the spirit within you had much to do in selecting/creating the present form that you inhabit.
wunjo: LOL:)
lion: In practical terms ... the conscious beliefs that you hold do in very real ways determine the reality that you will experience. In general, spirit creates experience for you in accordance with what you believe. Change your beliefs, and your experience WILL CHANGE.
wunjo: see then I must of had some beliefs about aeneas not being around for every long in my life.
lion: wunjo - not necessarily. However, you may have had some fear about the possibility of such a happening ... some concern for his safety ... some sense that he was not fully in charge of his own fate.
wunjo: yes i feared for his safety but I feared coyotes not cars
lion: However, just saying "I believe" is NOT sufficient. Thoughts are transformed into beliefs by one magic step ... the willingness and choice to ACT in accord with the belief. Spirit does not care diddly about what you think. She is putting all thoughts in your head anyway. Spirit cares about what thoughts YOU CHOOSE to TAKE ACTION UPON. This is how you VOICE your BELIEFS.
wunjo: hummm
lion: I have a complete trust in spirit now ... more so than I ever have had in my life. I know that nothing can happen to me unless Spirit so chooses. Further, I have resigned myself to DO only what I am MOVED by spirit to do. There is a sense that I am ALWAYS SAFE, no matter where I am. I am SPIRIT having a physical experience. Nothing that happens physically can ever change that. My essence is spirit. My home is SPIRIT.
wunjo: I belived he was smart enough to stay away from cars
lion: Fearing for his safety was sufficient to allow/permit such an occurrance to happen. However, that was not sufficient to manifest it. It was still a choice for the spirit that is Aeneas to make, period.
wunjo: humm ok
lion: Hmm... so YOUR BELIEF did not create the reality that you observed for him ... now did it?
wunjo: so what is it ... do your beliefs create reality or don't they????
lion: We create reality through our beliefs. However, the actual process is that the spirit part of us looks at what we believe and creates events in our lives that reflect those beliefs. Often, the events are meant to cause us to re-examine and question whether what we believe is indeed right ... or at least useful. The bottom line is that spirit wants us to know ourselves to whatever degree we are able to achieve this ... our experiences ultimately push us to do this.
lion: Do you have any examples where you beliefs did seem to create something that happened in your life?
wunjo: one day I believed that I was going to find a car to buy and that day I did.
wunjo: but it was not a good decision
lion: In that case, you really did believe ... so much so that you took action and went out and looked for one.
wunjo: yes that is true :)
lion: So, what did you learn from that?
wunjo: not to act so quickly
lion: And, why did you believe you would find one that particular day?
wunjo: I just wanted to and believed I could
lion: OK ... and have you adjusted your behavior to take more time in making such decisions? Are you acting on the idea that you should deliberate more?
wunjo: yes, but I have not had to make such decisons
lion: OK ... this is a RED FLAG area for me. I try not to WANT to do anything anymore. I've found that it serves everyone better, myself included, if I wait until spirit MOVES me to do something or acquire something. WANTING gets me in trouble. Spirit knows exactly what I NEED, and takes steps to ensure that the needs are satisfied before I need to ask, often before I even recognize that there is a need. :)
wunjo: I got an e-mail the other day that said that the 3 things to manifesting are desire,imagination, and expectancy.
wunjo: do you think desire and wanting are the same??
lion: Hmm... I would say they MISSED the most important part ... DOING something in line with what you are manifesting.
wunjo: yes that is a good point lion:)
lion: No, desire and wanting are not always the same. Desires can be driven by motivation from spirit. Wants however usually are driven by ego. At least, such is my experience.
lion: Actually ... as much as I can, I don't WANT anything, period. I then observe what comes into my life, and what I am moved to do, and then I figure out as best I can how to explain what I observe ... I ask, what does this mean about the nature or spirit and how she expresses, and what does it tell me about the nature of reality and how that reality is created?
